As a District 2 constituent, I am asking your office to directly notify me and Soar Park’s Trinidad Court and Sunnyland HOA representatives about public meetings, hearings, and decisions that affect our homes and community.

This includes the Soar Park application CDMP20230012, which the County currently lists as deferred with hearing dates to be determined, and the separate countywide SHIP plan amendment, Matter 261484. Our community has repeatedly sought meaningful communication and a meeting with District 2 over an extended period. Our community has also raised these concerns publicly. Our community has been trying to meet with District 2 for more than three years.

Please make sure notice reaches residents who may have limited internet access, limited English proficiency, disabilities, or difficulty navigating county systems. Please confirm:

1. how District 2 will notify Soar Park residents and HOA leaders going forward;
2. who in your office is responsible for follow-up; and
3. proposed dates for a direct meeting with our community.

Current official record: two separate County matters

Miami-Dade’s CDMP hearings page lists the Soar Park application (Miami SOAR 111 Land Trust et al, CDMP20230012) under deferred applications with hearing dates to be determined. Separately, the County’s legislative page for Matter 261484 (HCD SHIP LHAP FY Amendment) lists it as In Committee with an agenda date of October 6, 2026, agenda item 8K. Its staff memo says the proposed countywide plan amendment may include mobile-home rehabilitation or emergency repair, relocation assistance, and lot-rent assistance, and states: “This item is not recommending the allocation of any SHIP funding at this time.”

Matter 261484 is a countywide housing-plan item. It is not the Soar Park application and not the separate Soar Park community meeting residents have requested.

What this record does not establish: whether any committee took action on Matter 261484, what happened at any past meeting, or whether residents were notified. Check the official pages linked below before relying on a date.
