My name is {{full_name}}. I am {{relationship}} connected to the Silver Court community.

At Silver Court, our families are currently facing displacement due to a change in use of our mobile home park.

We need assistance now, while we are trying to find where our families and our homes can go, not only after we have been evicted. Please allow residents to be eligible for SHIP relocation assistance from the moment they receive an eviction notice due to a change in use, and ensure the amount of assistance reflects the actual costs our families face.

The County should also increase relocation assistance above $10,000 when necessary and ensure that residents of parks located within municipalities such as the City of Miami are not left without help.

Finally, the County should explicitly allow these funds to be used to preserve threatened parks or to purchase and develop new land to relocate a community.

Miami-Dade’s Housing Committee will consider Item 1G2 / Matter 261484 on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. The countywide proposal adds manufactured/mobile-home rehabilitation, lot-rent assistance, and relocation strategies to the County housing plan. The published goals charts currently show $0 and 0 households or units for those new strategies.

This countywide hearing is not the separate Soar Park community meeting residents have requested.
